Our family joined the Frankston Toy Library after our little girl had been diagnosed with severe hearing loss in both ears at birth we needed to provide her lots of extra sensory stimulation and this was the easiest and cheapest option apart from early intervention classes. I must say we love it because every fortnight we could choose different toys to suit her stage of development at any given time. At 18mths her hearing problems all cleared up but we still come along because its such delight to see our girls get enjoyment choosing what they want to play with.

We joined the Frankston Toy Library to be able to provide our children with a range of toys without the cost. We love being able to drop in, return our borrowed items and leave with lots of new toys to keep the children entertained with. We especially find the outdoor toys during summer invaluable.

The reason we initially joined the Frankston Toy Library and have been members for some time now, is of course the toys:)) The vast array of fun and educational toys at the Frankston Toy Library and the amazing knowledge and experience of the staff members allows parents/carers and children alike access to a variety of toys and games that they would not normally have access to and that they might not have considered playing with/borrowing themselves. It fosters childrens' (and parents!) imagination, it allows them to experiment with different toys and games, and supports the thinking outside the box at a very low cost. The services of Frankston Toy Library has been an important and very valued part of our children's pre-school and early primary school years. Many thanks and good luck for the future.

I am so glad that Frankston has such a wonderful and extensive toy library. We joined when our daughter was just a few months old and it's been fantastic! The borrowing allowances are generous (and flexible!) and it's a great way to find out what my daughter really likes without having to purchase everything - and, living in a smaller unit borrowing instead of buying means that I don't have to constantly fight to find storage space for lots of toys. If there's something our daughter doesn't like we just take it back and swap it for something else, and on the other end of the spectrum there have been a few things that she's just loved and we been able to renew them time and time again. As newcomers to Frankston, we've found that being a part of the Frankston Toy Library is also a great way to connect with other young families in our area.
